Comprehensive services for people coping with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and other memory loss.
Since 1997, Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center in Cohoes has served as a regional resource for innovative and compassionate care for individuals in early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease and other memory loss.
A model for hope, Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center provides comfortable, secure living in an environment designed for safety and independence. Beautifully appointed private rooms and common areas reflect a homelike environment. Flexible mealtimes and bathing schedules allow residents to maintain lifelong patterns and preferences. Abundant windows provide a bright interior, and comfortable country kitchens are open and accessible to promote socialization.
In addition to residential services, Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center offers dementia-specific day services, as well as a resource center providing a vast range of support and educational programs for caregivers. Programs include the Alzheimer’s Disease Assistance Center of the Capital Region (evaluation clinics, diagnostic consultations, care management), family forums, a lending library, support groups, the Alzheimer’s Care Team program, and professional conferences and workshops.
