Our memory care program is designed to support residents with memory impairment and related dementia. The Gardens at Citrus Heights’ staff members join with the resident and their families in creating a new home for your loved one. We also offer family partnership, personalized environment, individualized services and care plan, activities program for residents with varying needs, dining and hydration program, join their journey program, and a dedicated staff.
We use validation techniques as we interact with the resident; this way of relating focuses on understanding and accepting the resident’s interpretation of their surroundings and their sense of self within the framework of their own unique history and preferences. The resident is in “the driver’s seat,” we go along as “respectful passengers” to help make the journey comfortable and safe.
The Emeritus approach is to help our residents and their families to create a series of beautiful moments to treasure. We gather a tremendous amount of information about the resident’s life-past and present-and turn that knowledge into wisdom that allows them to create one precious “now” after another.
